Chapter 48: THE PRESENT

LORENZO’S P.O.V. Dante sent me the coordinates to what seemed to be a restaurant on the east side of town. I went with Matteo as I always would and when we got there, he turned to me with confusion in his eyes. “Did he invite us for dinner?” he asked as we got out of the car. It was a restaurant I had seen in passing but never paid attention to and now I realized why. “It is someone’s base, presumably his family. Figure out everything you can on it.” “I’ll be on that.” The restaurant seemed to be more on the higher end. Everything was arranged with precision and care and to the untrained eye, it would have seemed normal but I could see the little details. I noticed how it was built like a defense from outside attacks. As soon as we walked in, the server recognized us and led us towards a booth in the back.
