In a heart-stopping moment, a drone zipped in from the outside, its buzzing blades setting off the bats like an alarm. The swarm, in a sudden shift, abandoned their attack and turned on the drone.

But then she remembered something and turned to him, “Is your back hurt?”
“Why, are you concerned?” Henry’s tone was laced with sarcasm, but a ripple of warmth touched his heart, acknowledging her concern.

Henry clenched his jaw, too annoyed to speak.
