Henry was in a buoyant mood, watching Giselle's cheeks puff up in frustration. He swooped down, lifting her effortlessly into his arms. “What’s with the lifting, Henry?” “Who goes sockless into winter, Giselle? Seriously?” “But I’ve got boots on.” “Still not good enough.” With that, Henry whisked her into the private elevator. As they passed the lobby, Giselle made sure to show her face, causing quite the stir among the receptionists. “Look, is Henry cheating on his wife?” “Oh my God, wasn’t that the same lady from this morning?” “Typical men.” “Shush, they’re coming this way.” When Henry and Giselle neared, the receptionists’ eyes nearly popped out. “Ma... Madam?” Giselle fixed them with a haughty stare. Quick to recover, one receptionist rushed forward, apologizing profusely. “I’m terribly sorry, Madam. I mistook you for one of those women trying to ingratiate themselves with Henry. I didn’t recognize you at first.” The other receptionist hurried to make her apologies a
