Giselle bolted upright from a restless sleep, clad only in her pajamas, and dashed out the door. There, under the soft glow of dawn, stood her grandmother, her white hair like a halo, smiling tenderly.
“Giselle.”
Without hesitation, Giselle sprinted to her and wrapped her in a fierce embrace, her voice breaking slightly, “Grandma, have you been okay these past days?”
Her grandmother gently patted her back, her eyes crinkling with mirth. “I’m more than okay, darling. Just look at me.”
As Giselle studied her grandmother's rosy cheeks and the lively twinkle in her eyes, she could see a newfound vigor.
