She had given him all her blessings even though he had hurt her.
He would rather have had to endure her hatred and anger than receive her easy forgiveness.
Mr. Connor, the lawyer, said, "Miss Shaw had a dying wish."
Dixon found it hard to control his sorrow. Mr. Connor continued, "Miss Shaw hoped that you can send her off on the day of her passing by playing her favorite piano piece, 'The Street Where Wind Resides'."
Dixon looked up at Mr. Connor in surprise. He asked, "What did you say?"
"Miss Shaw wanted to hear you play 'The Street Where Wind Resides' for her."
