Wallace warned with his cold voice, “I already said it’s none of your business!”
Florence hugged that man’s arm and purposely sat right opposite Wallace and Joy. That man was the quiet kind. It seemed like he had no interest in such an event either.
All he had in his eyes was the woman sitting beside him.
The four of them never talked. The auction started with its first bidding. Many were interested in it and it was an oil painting from the nineteenth century. The second bidding was for ancient bronzeware.
The bidding for the first seven items was completed. When it came to the eighth item, the man beside Florence asked, “I remember you like jade. This is a good item. Do you like it?”
Florence lowered her head. She nodded and said, “I like it.”
The man put his arm over her shoulder and said, “I’ll bid it for you then.”
That man’s action made Wallace’s expression completely sink.
He cursed and scolded. “What an eyesore.”
