Chapter 225 The Investigation

Kelvin strolled over just as Augustus was tipping back a drink with a companion. At the sound of footsteps, Augustus glanced up and paused, slightly taken aback by Kelvin's striking looks. He did not dwell on it, though, he simply appreciated the view for a moment. His mind was too cluttered with work to wander further. "Hey boss, meet my buddy Kelvin," the cheerful voice broke in. "He swung by today, so I figured I'd introduce him. The guy's got a solid tolerance for booze. Why don't you two have a round?" Augustus was all smiles at the suggestion. Who would pass up the chance to bond over drinks with someone easy on the eyes? "Of course, that sounds great. Let's sit down and enjoy a glass." Kelvin had his own agenda in seeking out Augustus, and it was not just about the alcohol. Having worked alongside Jaxson for years, he was no stranger to a stiff drink and was pretty sure he could outdrink Augustus, maybe even get some juicy info out of him in the process. However, plans
