Chapter 19 Guilty

After leaving the mansion, Elinor remained silent. Both of them sat in the car, but the space between them could have easily accommodated two more people. Elinor gazed out the window, her mind clearly elsewhere. Therefore, she did not notice the hidden glint in the eyes of the man beside her. "You're smart. You know I won't pay you off. Don't even think about convincing me using a child as leverage," he preemptively snuffed out any potential danger he sensed might be arising. Hearing this, Elinor turned to look at him. She was not surprised by his words. "I know. I never intended to ask for your help, nor have I ever considered bearing a child for you," she said earnestly. However, Jaxson's expression turned somewhat sour after she spoke. "It's good you feel that way. However, let me advise you, don't entertain any ill thoughts. Even if you were to bear my child, I would never help you in any way. I would even ensure that you and the child meet in another world, if you catch my d
