When Maverick finally arrived at the music room, the sound of the cello abruptly stopped. He immediately pushed open the door, excitement evident in his eyes. Yet, the room was empty.
He strode anxiously to where the cello stood and scanned every corner of the room. Sadly, there was really no one there.
"Did you hear someone playing just now?" Maverick turned to Chester. He was wondering whether he had imagined it.
Chester replied, "I did. They must've left through the other door." The music room had two exits—one leading back into the building and another to the outside.
