Inside the police station, Laurelle gently wiped the corners of Alexis' eyes. She could see that Alexis still had feelings for Jeremy; otherwise, she wouldn't have cried the moment he'd arrived. The two seemed to be in a silent standoff. Laurelle said bluntly, "You know, since Jeremy got here so quickly, I think he might still care about you." Alexis bit her lip. "We're getting a divorce. What's the point in discussing this now?" She'd initiated the divorce, and Jeremy had agreed. They were just a signature away from being free of each other. But for some reason, Jeremy hadn't been coming home. She'd gone to the clubs he frequented, but he'd refused to see her. It was all very strange. Laurelle sighed, feeling a bit helpless. She sensed that there might be a misunderstanding between Alexis and Jeremy. "I think you should reconsider the divorce. Jeremy not coming home might mean he doesn't want to end things but is too proud to admit it. Since you still have feelings for him, why
