Chapter 2

The sunrise transformed the greens and blues into a new and vibrant glow. Sunrise appeared as a golden portal to a world of eternal light. The sunrise arrived as if it had missed the sky and wanted nothing more than to warm those blues to a gleaming gold. As if igniting the most perfect flame, the setting sun illuminated the blue. Emotions, to me, are spectrums rather than absolutes or destinations. As a result, I see a range that blends from sad to neutral to happy. For the most part, I stay on the positive side of neutral, allowing "happier" feelings to come through as bursts of color. This is a way of being that I enjoy. It makes me somewhat immune to depression and provides a level of emotional robustness from which others can co-regulate. Those who regard "sad" and "happy" as absolutes, in my opinion, are doomed to oscillate between the two. 'Gun! Look at me, I'm a superstar detective now, don't you think? You know, whenever we're here, I feel liberated. There's nothing to worry about, except for the case I'm working on right now, but don't you think this place is beautiful?" Slasher exclaimed, prompting Gunner to snort. "Sure, this place is lovely, but talking about you being a superstar detective makes me cringe," Gunner said, causing Slasher to roll his eyes at him. "I know we're twins, but I have to admit that I have all of our clan's good looks." Just look at the details of my oppa's face," he said, pointing his face at him and dancing like a ballerina, which made Gunner feel embarrassed because people passing by were staring in their direction. The memories began to fade when Gabbi screamed because she had been tripped and Gunner secretly laughed at her. A tear had already escaped his eyes without his knowledge, and thankfully Gabbi had not noticed. It was already afternoon when Gunner returned to his rented dorm. He had to take Gabbi to the airport before returning to his dorm. He was stuffed and thankful because he didn't have to cook his dinner already. He sighed as his eyes wandered around his cluttered room. It was, indeed, filthy. He should be cleaning right now so he can think clearly without being distracted by unpleasant odors. He, too, required a bath. He groaned as he slumped against the bed. What a person he'd become since his brother went missing. "Where have you gone?" He muttered under his breath, and a tear fell from his eyes, which he quickly wiped away with the back of his hand. He despises crying, but he misses his brother terribly. They don't have any parents and rely solely on one another. When their mother died, their father abandoned them, and they were adopted by an elderly couple who later died. The couple had been so kind to them that they inherited a sum of money that they used for their studies, and they are now detectives. He gets to his feet and pulls out his jacket. He began by turning on his computer in order to receive emails or messages. He started by cleaning his room. He grabbed a garbage bag and threw away anything unnecessary. He sighed as he realized he'd been consuming a lot of cup noodles and instant foods. It's no surprise he's thin. It was Slasher, his brother, who used to cook in the kitchen. It was his place, and he enjoyed the food his brother prepared for him. But everything has changed now. He faced the sink, which was full of cups, after cleaning all the plastics and things that couldn't already be used. There are no plates, only cups and spoons. He washed everything in the sink and cleaned all of the sink's edges until he was satisfied. He then took his pillowcases, bed sheets, and blankets and laundered them. He had to do it in his bathroom because he didn't have a washing machine. What he likes best about his rented room is that it has its own bathroom and is not shared with another boarder. "What a day for me," he muttered as he brushed the sheets with powder soap. "So this is how a housewife feels." Housewives should be given an award, a huge award," he said as he turned on the faucet and let the water pour into the tub after brushing the sheets. He can hear his heart pounding and, for the first time, he breaks out in a pool of sweat. He wipes the sweat from his brow with the back of his hand, which is still covered in bubbles. He decided to take a brief break after washing his laundry and putting it out to dry before returning to his table to clean it again. There are numerous papers that should no longer be present. His table should be cleaned as well. And what he should be paying attention to right now is his brother. For the time being, he will not be accepting new clients until he locates his brother. Gunner sighed, his tired body slumped in his bed. He has lost count of how many sighs he has let out to this day. They say it's bad, but he can't help but sigh at his bleak existence. He was about to close his eyes for a short nap when he remembered his computer. He walks over to his computer and checks his emails to see if there are any new ones. He scrolled and scrolled until his attention was drawn to something. Void SD 01100110. 01101001. 01101110. 01100100. 01101101. 01100101 That was the email that drew Gunner's attention. He opened the browser and pasted the numbers into the search tab, where his eyes widened. It was a secret code. A code which says, find me. He opened the email and became deeply invested in every word he read. Void To me, WIC Company come here; astral, murder, and bodies. Dad and the doctor are enemies. Be safe.
