After my words, my mother gave me a cold face. It was like she wanted to throw something harsh, but she shook her head and took a deep breath.
"I know you're trying to help, Camilla. But it's just so hard to let go of the anger. I feel like I need to hold onto it to protect myself from getting hurt again." She looked down at her hands, lost in her thoughts for a moment before continuing. "I appreciate your concern, Camilla. But I need time to process everything. I can't just turn off my emotions like a switch."
"I completely understand, Mom. I'm not asking you to forget or ignore your feelings. It's perfectly normal to need time to process everything."
