Gradually, I regained my senses, my head throbbing like a relentless drum. The overwhelming darkness engulfed me, making it nearly impossible to distinguish my surroundings clearly. But I could sense that I was confined in a small, poorly lit space. My limbs felt heavy and sluggish, and I struggled to muster the strength to sit upright. As my vision slowly sharpened, I was struck by the dank, musty odor that filled the air.
Determined to assess my situation, I cautiously surveyed my surroundings. The floor beneath me was cold and rough, while the walls appeared to be coated in a thick layer of grime. Just as I was starting to make sense of my surroundings, I heard a scurrying sound nearby. My eyes darted around the room, and I froze when I caught sight of the source of the disturbance.
