223: Not That Okay

Camilla Sasha and I arrived at the cinema, and the sight of the neon lights and the bustle of moviegoers was a welcome change from the tension I’d been feeling. The atmosphere was relaxed, with people chatting in line for tickets and the aroma of popcorn filling the air. Sasha and I bought our tickets and snacks, and with a sense of anticipation, we headed into the theater. The movie was a romantic comedy, light and entertaining—just what I needed to unwind. We found our seats and settled in, and as the lights dimmed, I let myself get lost in the story unfolding on the screen. About halfway through the movie, just as I was starting to really relax, there was a loud, jarring sound that cut through the film’s dialogue. It sounded like a series of sharp cracks, and my heart skipped a beat as I realized they we
