It shocked Noah that Shawn knew about his pursuit of Sophie. "Sir, Sophie and I genuinely like each other." As soon as Noah finished speaking, Shawn kicked him to the floor of the training room. Noah recalled how he had been beaten by Shawn in the same spot before. Just looking at it made his bones ache. "Sir, I won't pursue Sophie anymore. I'll end contact with her, okay?" Shawn swung his arms and cracked his knuckles. He slowly approached Noah even though the latter had admitted defeat. Half an hour later, Shawn left the training room. Seeing his subordinates standing outside, he barked, "Meeting, now!" In an instant, the conference room was filled with police officers, except Noah. Even the forensic pathologist was there. "Captain, what's the agenda for today's meeting?" a junior officer asked timidly, raising his hand.
