Chapter 268
Peter thought to himself, "Forget it. I'll have another chance to scold Oliver later. I don't believe he won't make mistakes again."
Not long after he left, Juniper came in.
Grace thought Juniper would plead for James so as not to be locked in the shed.
Instead, Juniper said, "Oliver, Grace is still young. What happened last night? Why did you leave her crying at the door?"
Oliver frowned and turned to Grace. "You cried again when I left yesterday?"
Grace tugged at his sleeve and nodded lightly. "I was upset. You ignored me."
He was unaware of what happened the previous night. Had he known, he wouldn't have left.
"As a man, you should treat Grace better. Don't make her cry from time to time. In marriage, stability and consistency are what last the longest."
Juniper mistakenly thought Oliver had upset Grace and made her cry. She said, "You need to take good care of Grace. If you drive her away, where will you find another good wife like her?"
He glanced at his "good wife".
