Although Oliver hadn't been unfaithful, he had deliberately made Grace jealous, leading her to misunderstand him all afternoon. The unresolved emotional turmoil was weighing heavily on him. He realized he had thoroughly angered her earlier that day in the bedroom.
"Grace, I won't go anywhere tomorrow. How about I stay home and help you practice your driving?"

He tried to appease her, "How about I take you to Essence Bistro for a meal tomorrow?"
"You can go by yourself and take all your numerous female friends. Enjoy yourself," she retorted.
Oliver was speechless. When he returned to the bedroom, Grace had already gone to bed, intentionally keeping her distance from him. The next day, when he wanted to accompany her, she was nowhere to be found.
He asked James, "Where's Grace?"
"She went to find Sophie to complain about you."
