Adrian rushed to check and found five one hundred-dollar notes under the chopping board in the kitchen.
"This is too much for just a few cherries," he protested.
Shawn hadn't planned this with Hazel. She had quietly taken his wallet and left the money on her own.

"Shawn," she said while nibbling her thumb.
"Cliff is too young," he countered.
"He's not eating anyway," she argued.
"There will be too much smoke," Shawn reasoned.
Hazel stopped pleading and began to negotiate. "If you take me to a barbecue, I'll stay at the Prescott residence tonight."
The unprincipled man asked, "Where's it located?"
