Chapter 1029
In Grace's bedroom, she gently laid Cliff in the crib and tucked him in with a light blanket.
"When did this thing between them start?" Oliver asked directly.
"During summer break," Grace replied, to which Oliver immediately responded, "That's impossible."
"What exactly are you referring to?" Grace asked while adjusting the baby's blanket.
Oliver pressed further, "How far have they gone?"
"Exactly as far as you're imagining," Grace answered, her tone teasingly vague.
Oliver argued, "Stop speaking in riddles."
"Well, then I don't know what to say that'll make you accept them," Grace replied matter-of-factly.
"I won't accept it."
"Then I'll keep speaking in riddles," Grace retorted.
Oliver stared at her, momentarily speechless.
Grace did not wait for him to respond. She disappeared into the bathroom and emerged shortly after in her pajamas.
