Chapter 54

Serena’s POV “Harry…” I mumbled his name, startled. He stared at me as the anger in his eyes slowly vanished and his grip on my wrist loosened. I don’t know. I felt attacked. He just stopped me from touching the painting that captivated me but I feel like there's something more. “I’m sorry. I just…” he paused and squeezed his eyes. He gently held my hand and kissed my wrist, staring into my eyes intently. He glanced at the painting before he looked at me again and gently pulled me out of the room. He turned the light off and I heard him lock the door. “I’m sorry,” he whispered and started kissing the back of my hands. “Did I hurt you?” I shook my head, “I’m fine.” He sucked his breath and pulled me closer, wrapping his arms around my waist as he let my cheek rest against his chest. I was still startled. It was a first. It was the first time I saw him get mad and I was really shocked. The anger in his eyes was unleashed for a few seconds and I started doubting the story of the painting.
