Yasmin took a deep breath. Just as she was about to speak, the microphone was passed back to her.
Dressed in a simple yet sophisticated black ensemble, Caleb exuded an air of noble elegance. His sharp brows and intense gaze drew immediate attention, and as he entered, all eyes instinctively turned toward him.
Corine's bodyguard lingered nearby, eager to grab the microphone, yet he held back, knowing better than to act impulsively in Caleb's presence.
The faint smile that had graced Corine's lips disappeared in an instant.
Meanwhile, Ursula's face drained of color. "Why is Caleb here?"
She could only glance at Corine, her eyes silently begging for help. Corine was Caleb's mother. Surely, a son would never defy his own mother, would he?
Yasmin hadn't informed Caleb about the university's last-minute announcement the previous night, nor had she mentioned that she would be attending. She never expected him to show up anyway.
