Heaton had already called Cherie at noon but Verian gave her another call at night. Verian said through the phone, "Jelly Bean, you were working overseas for a week and you meet up with Boyle the instant you come home? Your father is very unhappy about this. You and Boyle can take the earliest flight back to North City tomorrow, okay? Bring Boyle home to meet us and we'll have lunch together." Verian reminded her.
