Chapter 50 Drastic Character Change
Turf wars, power struggles, and the pursuit of wealth—these were the only reasons Aaron could have made enemies. Resorting to physical fights was the most primitive way to settle these disputes.
The werewolf society had evolved, and such confrontations were rare among them now. However, there were still some stubborn individuals who clung to these old ways and were willing to resort to plotting against others.
I had often worried about Aaron because he seemed to have accumulated many enemies over the years. He didn't share my concerns, confident that they wouldn't dare to provoke him.
Despite the improbability, I always feared that he might one day find himself in grave danger. His current hospitalization was a chilling reminder of that possibility.
I didn't feel exactly terrible, but I certainly didn't feel good either. I had often urged him to lay low and stay away from the limelight, but I knew him too well. A dominant alpha like him couldn't just disappear without a trace.
