Chapter 31 Surgery
Finding me would be a piece of cake for Aaron. A single call could prompt his staff to locate me within an hour. Furthermore, I suspected he had bugged my phone, which troubled me deeply.
"We had plans to come together yesterday. Why did you arrive alone?" Aaron directed the question at me but kept his gaze fixed on Shaun. His unfriendly demeanor was apparent, and I knew it was not a good sign. I hadn't expected him to harbor hostility toward Shaun, so I aimed to keep them apart.
He made no effort to answer my calls, and his unexpected appearance caught me off guard. Thankfully, I had previously communicated with Shaun, assuring him that the truth would remain concealed for now.
"Why are you undergoing so many treatments for a mere arm injury?"
Shaun wisely deflected the question, emphasizing that the treatment plan was not mine. As we had agreed to keep everything secret, he had used a fake name on the customized plan.
"Rena? Is she your patient?" Aaron seemed disappointed upon
