Chapter 19 Out of Control
I had placed the blanket in the wardrobe for easy access in case the weather suddenly turned cold. I hadn't expected to need it so soon.
Aaron, however, retrieved the blanket himself and spread it on the bed. When I offered to help, he declined.
As the full moon night drew nearer, his behavior became increasingly unusual. If one didn't know how powerful he was in the business world, one might mistake him for a diligent househusband, given his dedication to household chores.
He was a quick learner, and household tasks were relatively straightforward, so he picked them up swiftly. Sometimes, he would tease me for wasting time on such activities.
It made sense.
But I was doing it all for him, and it hurt to hear him mock me.
I refrained from arguing with him. I let him taunt me. Maybe he believed I was uninteresting because I didn't engage in verbal sparring. Eventually, he grew impatient with my silence.
