AUTHOR'S POV
The female Rogue moved cautiously through the camp, her nerves on edge as she searched for a way to send a message to Leon. Trust was a rare commodity among the Rogues, and even the slightest misstep could get her killed. But she had to do this—for Irene whom she gave her word, and for the unborn child that had stirred something deep within her.
She had considered several options, but all were too risky. Then she remembered one of the higher-ranking Rogues, a brute named Garrick, who was known for his arrogance but was careless about securing his personal devices. She knew he had access to the internet and often communicated with outside contacts via email for trading supplies and information.
It was a long shot, but it might be her only chance.
