Chapter 4 There Is Something on His Body…

‘What did he say? He wants me to run a bath for him?’ When the thought surfaced in Madison’s head, she was stunned. She did not expect such a request from Allen. Not only that, but he was giving her permission to go to the second floor? She clearly remembered Alfred had told her before that the second floor was Allen’s private space and that she was not allowed to set foot in it. Before Alfred had left, he had specifically warned her several times not to break the rules. However, Allen did not give Madison any chance to contemplate. By the time she came around her senses, Allen was already gone, and she was the only one left in the spacious living hall. She lifted her head and looked at the winding staircases that led to the second floor. After a short while of contemplation, she bit her lips and followed Allen. “It’s me, Mr. Whitlock. I’m coming in.” Madison knocked on the door and entered the main bedroom on the second floor. It was a spacious bedroom with very special decoration. For a moment, Madison thought she had entered a world of black. All she could register in her vision was a lot of black. The wall was painted in black, and all the furniture was also in black. Honestly, it was rather depressing and dull. The bedroom was spacious and was segmented into several sections. When Madison entered the room, she saw from the corner of her eye that Allen was standing beside his bed, slowly and methodically taking away the belt around his waist. Madison hastily lowered her head and averted her gaze. She took a deep breath to calm herself down and walked toward the bathroom on the other side of the bedroom. Presently, Madison just wanted to finish her job and get out of this predicament as soon as possible. She squatted beside the bathtub, and her thoughts drifted away while she waited for the water to fill the bathtub. She could not fathom why things would turn out this way. Not only had she married Allen for money, but she was also running a bath for him right now. Nonetheless, Madison did not dare to go against Allen. She was really terrified of him from the bottom of her heart. Every time he looked at her coldly, she would feel like she was being dragged into the abyss with an inexorable force, and her heart would skip a beat. “What are you doing?” Suddenly, Allen’s voice rang out behind her. He sounded apathetic and impatient. Madison did not know when Allen came to her side. She snapped back to reality and realized that the water was flowing out of the bathtub. “Ahh, I’m sorry. I didn’t notice it…” Madison hastily rose to her feet and stretched her arm forward to turn off the faucet. Yet, perhaps she was seized by her fear or she had been squatting for too long, and her legs went numb. As she was about to reach the faucet, her legs went weak, and she fell headfirst toward the bathtub. “Ah!” Madison screamed as she was getting closer and closer to the water in the bathtub. At that moment, a large hand wrapped her waist and scooped her up steadily. Immediately after, the man behind her exerted some force with his arm and grabbed her back into a warm and broad chest, saving her from the fate of falling into the water. Madison looked just like a terrified kitten, pitiful and helpless. She kept her eyes closed, and her eyelashes were fluttering faintly as she clung tightly to the man’s broad chest. Allen lowered his head and looked at Madison. He did not know if she realized it or not, but she looked seductive with that fragile look on her face. ‘She just won’t let go of any opportunity to seduce a man, huh?’ As that thought surfaced in Allen’s head, his face sank, and anger began to rise in his eyes. “Get away from me!” he snarled as he pushed her away, snapping Madison out of her fear. She hastily regained her balance and looked ahead with a confused face. Suddenly, her eyes widened. The man in front of her was not wearing any clothes, and only a white towel was tied loosely around his waist. There were also some water droplets that she left on his body. The transparent water droplets rolled down his firm chest, passing through his well-toned abdominal muscles before disappearing into his Adonis belt on his waist. Looking at Allen, Madison pressed her lips tightly. She could not believe that the person she hugged in panic just now was Allen! Not only that, but she also rubbed her cheek on his tender and warm chest. “I… I’m sorry. I didn’t do it on purpose… I didn’t know it was you…” Madison kept her head low and apologized. She did not know that the person she had been hugging was Allen. Had she known, she would have avoided him. She would rather fall into the bathtub than hug him. “Hah… You didn’t know it was me?” A mocking smile appeared on the corner of Allen’s lips as he sneered. He lowered his head and looked straight at Madison. “Madison, do you think I’m stupid?” There were only two people in this apartment, and Madison told him that she did not know it was him? Madison was rendered speechless for a moment. She could read the mockery between Allen’s words and did not know how to explain it. Perhaps she knew how to explain it, but it was just that she was too panicked to get her words right. However, she knew that he probably would not believe in her even if she tried to explain it. Therefore, Madison decided not to say anything as she was worried she might get him even angrier if she said the wrong things again. Madison lowered her head. Her eyebrows fluttered slightly, and her hands clenched tightly in front of her. She did not utter a single word anymore. The embarrassment was slowly ebbing from her face and was replaced by a cautious look. Allen raised his eyebrows, and his face sank. “Get out of here. You’re not allowed to come in here anymore,” he said. His voice was husky, and it seemed like he was repressing something inside of him. Madison’s eyes lit up, and she nodded after hearing what he said. She hurriedly went down the stairs and back to her room. After locking the door, Madison sat on the side of her bed and gasped heavily for air. Her heart was beating rapidly as if it was going to leap out of her chest. She sat on the bed and tried to recall the things that had transpired in the bathroom a few minutes ago. If she had not seen it wrongly, there were faded teeth marks on Allen’s right shoulder. Madison recalled the night she had spent at The Nyx a week ago. At that time, she remembered that she had also left the same teeth marks on the man’s right shoulder out of pain.
