HAVEN I slept well last night, after Aamon pulled me out of the bathroom , he gave me a really good and relaxing head to toe body massage, that's the last thing i remember. "Hi," a soft voice pulls me out of my thoughts. I turn to the source and find it's Ember. "Hi," I reply cautiously. She starts walking with me to the car side by side. "Today seems to be a good day." Apparently, she and I have been forced to ride the same vehicle to school. Well, it's obvious that the "forced" applies more on my side. On her side though? She doesn't want to "force me" to ride with her because she doesn't want to pressure me. I come to a halt and so does she. "Look, Ember. I know this whole "us riding to school together" makes you feel like there's a chance at friendship between you and i," I sigh. "But nothing has changed, okay? We're just in this situation because our parents arranged it. We ride, no talking, okay?" Her face falls, she bites the corner of her lip and takes a deep breath in and out
