Chapter 99 The Picnic Date

"Have you packed everything?" He asked as I walked to his car and slid in.
"Yes." I grinned, shutting the door.
"Let's go." He said and started the car.
I was excited. We had planned to go on a picnic the Saturday of the week that we resumed but hadn't been able to go.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"A common dating spot in Middletown." He replied.
"Are we going to the field that we have our driving lessons?" I asked.
He shook his head and chuckled. "No. My dad will know that we are there and will come to see what I'm up to."
"Is that a problem?" I asked.
"It isn't but I don't feel comfortable having my dad patrol where I'm having a date with my girlfriend."
"What kind of person is your dad? I keep wondering who he is since I haven't met him."
