Chapter 126 A Long and Lonely Journey to Survival

I got out of the bush and found the town that the driver had mentioned but I didn't want to stay there in case he could betray me later and I would be easily found like a ram heading to the slaughter house. I would be doomed if that happened and I didn't want to be. I would rather survive. That was what my father would want for me. I wasn't about to waste his death.
I would survive and I would live. I held back tears at the thought of my father and continued moving, heading towards the park.
I smelled a waft of aroma as I passed by a restaurant near the road and my stomach grumbled in response, reminding me in a rude manner that it needed sustenance.
I ignored the plea for food and continued moving. I couldn't afford to sit at a restaurant, make an order and eat. That would be a lot of time that I would waste, time that I didn't have.
"Get snacks. Rolls. Pies."
I smiled as I heard a food vendor hawking by the roadside and quickly bought a sumptuous pack from her. I saw
