The next day, Lia and Leonard received an invitation from Zion to grab dinner together. Lia had a long history with Zion. They'd been married once, and their fathers were old war buddies and close friends. Having dinner together wasn't unusual. What stood out was Zion inviting Leonard, someone he had always clashed with. That part was odd. Lia and Leonard spent some time on the phone trying to figure out Zion's intentions, but after getting nowhere, they decided they'd just have to wait until dinner to see what was up. Leonard had a packed schedule during the day, so they planned to meet in the evening. At 5:30 pm, Leonard picked Lia up, and they headed to the restaurant Zion had texted them. The place was mid-range but had an excellent reputation for its ambiance and food. When they arrived, Zion was already seated with Rachel. It was a table for four; anyone with half a brain could tell what was going on just by looking at how Zion and Rachel were sitting together.
