Leonard couldn't stand Lia's feigned indifference. Without giving her a chance to resist, he grabbed her wrist and dragged her toward his car. Passersby turned to watch. She felt too embarrassed to put up much of a struggle. When they reached the hotel, Leonard dove straight into work, opening his laptop and typing away. He glanced up briefly between tasks to tell her, "Order whatever you want—food, drinks, anything. I'll cover it." It was the first time Lia had seen him work so seriously. Gone was the carefree rich kid; a focused and capable man was in his place. Whether reckless or responsible, every side of him captivated her. Against all reason, she stayed quiet, waiting for over two hours while he finished. When he finally closed his laptop, Lia snapped out of her daze, her expression hardening. She quickly turned her gaze away from him. Noticing her icy demeanor, Leonard hesitated before asking cautiously, "Are you sure you don't want to eat something?" Food had always b
