Chapter 124 As If I Care
Ian froze for a moment, then shot her a look of discomfort before turning and walking back into his room. This time, he left the door open.
The woman hurried after him. "Ian, please listen to me! I didn't mean for things to happen like that. Can't you give me another chance? We can finally meet up, and this is how you want to treat me?"
Ian slammed the door shut with a force that made the walls tremble. However, even through the thick wood, Bella could hear the low growl that he tried to suppress. "That's enough!"
Bella knew she shouldn't eavesdrop. She had never seen Ian this angry before. She closed her door quietly and pretended nothing had happened.
At around 6:00 am, the woman seemed to have left. Bella could hear Ian's door opening and closing, followed by footsteps fading down the hall. It was the footsteps of one person, not two.
Soon, her phone buzzed with a text from Ian, "Care for a talk?"
