Mirabel was sprawled on the bed, her fingers clicking over her laptop. She was checking for flights out of Miami, and even out of the damn country. She needed to make plans as soon as possible. She had a couple hundred thousand dollars in her account. It could cover housing arrangements abroad, off-the-grid living so Chase could not find her, and the return ticket to Miami once the contract was over. Her plan was still half-baked, but she was already on the lookout for any opportunity she could take to slip through and away before anyone realized what was happening.
