Chapter 147 The Mystery Caller

“How is she?” Chase asked. Mirabel had a frown on her face as she stared at Chase who wouldn't stop pacing around in the bedroom. “Stop making me nervous!” she snapped at him. Mirabel had woken up the following morning after the party to see blood on her bed. She was surprised and in her terror, she screamed. Chase had rushed into her bedroom when he heard her screaming and saw the blood on the bed. He had immediately sent for their family doctor and now he wouldn't stop pacing around. The doctor finished checking Mirabel and nodded as he stared at Chase. “She’s fine. I think the stress of the past few days is getting to her, it’s just light spotting that she has,” the doctor said. Chase nodded, “What can be done?” “She doesn't need stress, she needs to keep taking her folic acid and she needs to sleep well,” the doctor answered. “Alright, doctor. Thank you,” Chase said as he walked the doctor out. Mirabel sighed when the doctor left. She rubbed her hand on her stoma
