Chapter 30
“Right away, sir,” Marcus said.
Marcus left the office, leaving Thaddeus alone.
Thaddeus could no longer concentrate on work now that he had learned the truth. He stood by the ceiling-to-floor window and peered down the entire city from the twenty-eighth floor.
As he recalled his time with Mona, the man spotted even more clues.
However, he understood that he was not going to get answers in his mind, so he grabbed his jacket and strode out of the office.
“Marcus, I want to know where Mona is staying right now. Give me the address and tell the driver to prepare the car. I want to go there as soon as possible.”
When Thaddeus arrived at Mona’s place, the sky was already dark.
The car parked in front of the entrance of the apartment.
He looked up at Mona’s unit and saw nothing but dark windows. It seemed no one was home.
He lit a cigarette and waited, but no one returned.
The man came with questions of his own, and he would not be able to rest until he got his answers.
