Chapter 189
He was holding a black umbrella and looked exactly the same as the man in the grave. He was staring gently at me, and I wished with all my heart that he was Dixon.
I wished that he could come back from the dead.
But I was well aware that the man in front of me was Lance.
I stood motionless, and he called out to me.
I bit my lip as I said, "I don't even have anyone to blame anymore."
Even the one who loved me was gone.
"Young lady, Dixon wanted me to pass you a message."
My voice quivered as I asked, "Did he wake up before he died?"
Lance nodded as he said tenderly, "He hopes that you will be happy."
After a pause, he continued, "I hope so too."
At that point, I felt as if I would never feel happiness again.
The rain poured down as Lance continued staring at me. He took a step towards me and said softly, "Young lady, I will be leaving Wu City tomorrow for France."
Both Lance and I were well aware that with Dixon's passing, the conflict between the three of us had also ended.
