KELLY'S POV
‘‘Cheol…’’ I spoke in hushed tones as we rode the elevator after a long period of stillness. My hand was held tightly against his own. He tilted his head and stared at me with a perplexed expression on his face. ‘‘Do you really need to fire Victor?’’ I inquired.
‘‘Of course. He clearly failed to do his job.’’
‘‘Don’t you want to reconsider another option like… maybe a warning or a suspension?’’ I asked in a soft voice, hoping he would listen to my suggestions.
‘‘Princess, he’s in charge of the residents' safety, and he has tonight's shift under his surveillance, yet he's so foolish for failing to recognize that one of his subordinates has gone insane. The man who attacked you wasn’t supposed to conduct checkings on your floor tonight.’’ He explained.
I nodded, not wanting to argue with him. He had valid reasons for firing Victor but I still felt sorry for him for being jobless starting tonight because of that psychopath.
