KELLY'S POV ‘’Can you tell me how long you'll be staying there?’’ Diane's words resonated in my ear as I leaned back against the headboard of my bed, talking to her on Facetime. I had already changed into my pink pajamas and was getting set to sleep in my new room. I was already missing my own room in the house. ‘’Until I graduate from college?’’ I chuckled and she let out a long frustrated sigh from the other side of the line. ‘’What if Aunt Grace comes after you and drags you back to your house?’’ she exclaimed. ‘’What if her husband comes and gets you?’’ I shook my head. ‘’I don't believe mom is capable of doing that. We’ve already talked about this and she agreed not to tell Dr. Henry where I am staying right now.’’ ‘’She agreed?’’ she asked in disbelief. ‘’Well…She didn’t actually agree at first, but she couldn’t stop me anyway.’’ Diane made a grunting sound. ‘’You know, I never imagined that your mom would marry again after your dad passed away.
