Chapter 77
"What are we going to do?" Rebecca's voice, barely a whisper, broke the oppressive silence.
Cassandra looked at her sister, the familiar features now marked by pain and betrayal. A wave of guilt washed over her, heavy and suffocating. "I should have been stronger," she said, her voice choked with regret. "I should never let any of us end up here."
Rebecca shook her head, a weary sigh escaping her lips. "It wasn't your fault, Cassie. The decisions I made led us here. And Julian is nothing but a monster. "
A flash of anger crossed Cassandra's face and she let out a growl, "I am going to make him pay for hurting you but right now can't give up, Becca," she said, her voice firming with determination. "We have to find a way out of this."
Rebecca looked at her, a glimmer of hope flickering in her eyes. "But how? Julian's got guards everywhere, and this device..." her voice trailed off, fear creeping back into her tone.
