Ryan gazed into the trap. The crying sound came from within.
In fact, it sounded more like a man crying in pain and fear. The wailing sounded terrifying as it traveled across the area.
Ryan stood at the edge of the trap. One hand held the weapons as a precaution, while the other had the flashlight.
When Ryan shone the flashlight into the pit, the aboriginal yelled in terror, turning his back on Ryan. He avoided the flashlight as if the light could kill him.
The aboriginal had no idea civilization had such technology. He imagined the light was a supernatural power. Hence, it scared the wits out of him.
Ryan softened at the sight before him. He avoided shining the light on the aboriginal's face. Under the light, he noticed the aboriginal seemed very short.
The young aboriginal seemed to be only around five or six years old. But he had a large head, tanned skin, and wore a grass skirt. He had a sun tattoo on his arm.
