Chapter 178
Dinner for that night was still goat meat soup. But due to the weather, Freya couldn't go out to find vegetables and mushrooms, so they only had goat meat.
Everyone sat around the table Ryan had made, drinking the goat meat soup. The atmosphere was somber with little conversation.
To break the silence, Ryan glanced outside at the gloomy, rainy weather and said solemnly, "This terrible weather is likely to continue for several days. As you all know, once a hurricane arrives, it needs at least four days to clear up."
He paused intentionally to gauge everyone's reactions, but they continued to drink the soup with expressionless faces.
"What I mean is that our supply of goat meat is limited. If we continue at today's rate, we might run out in less than two days. I suggest cutting the portions in half. What do you all think?"
Freya, being a homemaker, understood the importance of making do with what they had, both in the past and on this desert island. So she was the first to speak up.
