Nina's shoulders and collarbones seemed perfectly sculpted, often so alluring that they made Ryan's pulse race, leaving him struggling to control himself.
"No, Ryan! The sun's out. We should head back to the campsite! Sherry will lose her mind if she sees her horse gone."
Nina had embraced him in excitement, but the memory of the pain and bruises he'd caused earlier soon replaced that thrill with fear. The excitement quickly dissipated, and Ryan, sensing the shift, decided there was no point in dragging it out. He released her.
Turning her attention to the horse she'd just captured, Nina spoke, almost as if to herself, though it seemed partly directed at Ryan. "This horse looks just like Sherry's. I guess we're even now."
Ryan adjusted his shirt and said, "Cut the nonsense and let's head back now. Otherwise, how will you explain yourself when Sherry wakes up and sees you with her horse?"
"Can you bring it back for me? I'm not strong enough to keep it under control!"
