Damien's POV "You can't be with her for now, Damien. Not until we captured the real murderer of her father." I shook my head as I stared at him. "What do you mean, dad?" He heaved a sigh and glanced at mom. I angrily messed my hair up. "Dad, what are you talking about? Can you please tell me what's happening?" Dad tapped my shoulder. "Son, please listen to us. If you don't want her to suffer more, please listen to us, to your mom. Lucresia is like a daughter to us. We don't want her getting hurt." Clenching my jaws, I shook my head. "Dad, I don't understand." Mom stepped forward and held my hands. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she looked up at me with begging eyes. "Can't you see, son? It wasn't her who caused your downfall. It was the other way around. You caused her downfall. Everytime you two end up together, she always suffers. She always loses someone or something important." W-What? That's not true! How so? I mean, all I did was love her and be faithful to her. All these years,
