Lucky's POV Tears completely rolled down my cheeks. I was about to look away when he slowly lifted his right hand and gently wiped the tears on my cheeks. "You don't believe me?" His voice was rough and sad. I looked down. "You can't blame me. I hurt you before, Damien. You came back for revenge. You can't blame me if I can't trust your words." When I looked at him again, he was squeezing his eyes closed. "Y-You're probably saying this because something happened between us—" I sucked my breath and my words were left unfinished when he pressed his lips on mine. It was just a light and swift kiss but it made my heart skip a beat He pressed our foreheads together. "I came back for revenge. I want to hurt you. Hell! I will do everything to make you taste the pain you inflicted in me. But, baby… Anger has become my defense and my weapon against the pain because even up until now, I couldn't accept the fact that you fell out of love while I was drowning helplessly with my feelings for you."
