Back Again

Lucky's POV I patiently waited for the sun to set. This morning, Rob left me another note saying he'll lure the guards tonight and buy time for me to escape. I don't know why he's helping me. I don't even know who sent him. All I know is I can see his sincerity to help and he's loyal to whoever sent him. "Don't look back. Never look back, Miss Lucky. That's all I ask of you." That was his last words when he brought my dinner early this afternoon. I balled my fists where my car key is. I'm nervous. I jumped in shock when the door swung open. Rob with messy hair, sweating and lips bleeding entered. He was panting. "Rob!" I ran to him. He swallowed hard and shook his head. He handed his phone to me. "This is my only phone. When you find the car, call your husband or anyone you trust immediately. Go, Miss Lucky." I shook my head. "I-I won't leave you here." He clenched his jaws. "I vowed to keep you safe at the expense of my life, Miss Lucky." "W-What?" For the first time, he smiled at me.
