Chapter 6: A Shocking Revelation.

Liam exhaled, staring intently at the arrival of a group of men as they approached them. "No, Kane, not now. I'm a bit not free," he replied, snapping the tone. His eyes then moved towards Chloe, and a trace of apology was read in them as if he was regretful for making her an important part this disastrous fight. However, Kane, the one who seems to be the apparent leader of the team, kind of laughed at that. "You ought to know the rules, Liam. Business and pleasure don't mix," he scolded, spitting real venom. Chloe had a knot in her stomach, the apprehension growing inside of her as she saw the creeping uneasiness in the proceedings, like a dark cloud descending. It was a wasteful situation. When she walked into the chaos and hazard, now that she was involved in the conflict, she was the last to grasp it. Liam knitted his brows together, his hand on Chloe's strong—the knuckles of his hand turning white while standing up to Kane and his gang. "I said that just now, remember," he replied, his voice calm and cool. "Let us leave this for our privacy and talk about it afterwards." However, Kane’s determined look became a mask-like feature as he did not give up due to Liam’s defiance. "We've dragged this out long enough, Liam. It is time to put this to a final end," he stated with an edge in his voice that was filled with looming danger. The cold shiver that races down Chloe's spine tells her that something terrible is going on—an atmosphere of oppression similar to suffocation. She knew that now the disagreement between Liam and these men had become one between her as well, whether she liked it or not. The flash of adrenaline made Liam wonder forward, his swollen eyes looking directly into Kane's, while in silence he challenged Kane. "As you wish," he replied with a chilling, commanding tone. "But it isn't here. Leave me." What came next was him walking quickly to guide Chloe through the nightclub, teeming with people, his movements just as straight as the rest of the people there. Chloe tripped and seemed to be tailed by the devil that messed up her mind, surfing the waves of fear and rising uncertainty as they disappeared into the night.a Kane cast his eyes on Chloe, his eyes piercing her like one of those arrows he always prepared, mixed with both curiosity and suspicion. The scorn in his voice was evident. "Who forsakes this?" he asks, trying to project the impression of an unwelcome stranger into their world. Liam clasped his hand around Chloe's waist to create a secure and stable point of support, sending a message of reassurance as the unfolding situation became increasingly cause-and-effect. Earthquake Disaster "Friend," he said. Those words sounded true and even threatening in his voice. He seemed to be saying to Kane, “Do not try me yet!” Chloe was inundated with feelings of gratitude towards Liam for making his support unconditional, even in the most unfriendly attitude. Amid all the chaos and turmoil they were feeling around them, his presence was a constant source of calm and steadfastness beneath the waves. The lip of Kane curving in a sneer is a sight to behold while he glares at Chloe with suspicion and a doubtful look. "Ach, mate!?" he snorted, conveying in his tone a crude disrespect. "You rightly taught me to roll the dice, but still, not everything ends up well, Liam." Although Kane kept on talking, Liam kept on being unperturbed by them. His expression was an eye, and he looked back at Kane with a steely resolve that was telling of the enormity of the changes that were about to happen. "Now is not the time for this, nor is this the place," he told me, speaking in a tone that was low, controlled, and self-composed. "Although we can go back to this topic later, at this point we may shift our attention to the reason behind your visit." Plainly, it could be felt that the two men were close to each other, and their eyes kept stealing glances as if in a duel of wills. Chloe felt thereby that the mere existence of power and authority between the two dropped her into an unstable atmosphere of clashing egos who could not be sure whether the outbreak of violence was around the corner. The next day, he came there, showing throughly a speedy walk, guiding her, and as they entered the nightclub, there were still people there. He repeated his action, which is having his movements all straight, unlike the rest of the people there. Chloe carved her lighter and blackened her lips before she took the marked vigil of the devil, determined to pursue her toward the end as they entered the night. Kane focused his thoughtful and curious gaze on Chloe, and it seemed to Kane like an arrow that he had once prepared, fired, and sustained, affirming both his inner curiosity and the doubt he experienced. Under the bitter and sarcastic tone of the character, he inquires, "What’s the meaning of this?" taking on the role of an undesired and intrusive element in their universe. Liam clasped his hand around Chloe's waist to create a secure and stable point of support, sending a message of reassurance as the unfolding situation became increasingly cause-and-effect. Cause and effect: Earthqutaking onsasterfor "Comrade," he said only for a moment. A shiver ran through her. They sounded too real, and so... He seemed to be saying to Kane, "Do me, or worse, test me" or "Bbe warm me, stating my being" are suitable renditions of the words, which could be better grasped by the local people. Thanks to Liam for being so ssupportive, and his support is not only uunconditional, even when she is hostile. Chloe appreciates his support so much. Amidst all the trash and massive destruction that they were experiencing, he became the constant anchor and peace in the midst of the sea of chaos and troubles beneath. The open snarl of Kane's mouth with suspicion and a dry look at Chloe is an omen for any fool to witness it. “Ah, to hell with you!” was his disrespectful meaning that he conveyed by the way he pronounced it. 'You took time to sway me to apply the dice, yet I will not deny you because things may not go in the expected way in the future.'" When Kane didn't stop talking, Liam kept being unmoved as well. The words did not affect him. The 'thereness' of his eyes was a typical impassivity that was unraveling the weight of the transition ahead of him as he watched Kane with coldness, not compassion. "Now is not the place to converse on this, and there is no better time to think about it," he said, nodding his head as he was speaking in a tone that indicated the bottomlessness of the depths and quietness that it had. "Even if we dive into this question later on, at present, we may concentrate on the cause and effects of your journey." Whether it be by stealing each other's glances or, just by a mere hint of an insight into their minds, one could have said with no hesitation that they were in fact soul mates. When Chloe just found herself alarmed or pulled out of real action by the mere existence of power and exertion of authority between all the characters of whom it was just to say about the one that s/he is too proud to allow her to live any kind of simple belongings, of coarser and more stable life, the feelings of contradiction, confusion and uncertainty just about erupted under Chloe’s feelings just as These two remained silent as they marched together, the only sound being made by the match of their footsteps on the empty roads. Chloe’s head whirled around with phrases; however, she felt it was inappropriate to offer them verbally. There was her chance for answers, but she could wait until later, when they were back to their own privacy. Finally, they arrived at their destination: a humble little place in the lattermost crevices of the city. Liam was walking a couple of steps ahead, focused and agile at the same time, observing for any possible threat ahead. Their pleasure to them was so heartwarming and affectionate that Chloe stole away a sigh of relief as when she was inside. Only the air, which was stale and dank, made the room a place of refuge and sanctuary from the fraught world outside. "I think this is the safest place for us to stay for the time being," Liam spoke up, his voice bounced back into the deserted chamber. "But we shouldn't stay here for too long, because we are brainstorming our next step." Chloe nodded, and her mind was spinning with the realization that whatever she was going through—maybe some life experience like this—was going to shape her forever. Although the face of the Mongolic incursion they only saw through the narrow slit of the window was abominable, she experienced an inner drive rising from her spirit. He was the one by her side, and she firmly knew that she had what it took to carry the burden if it was to come on the way, without any doubts and with his ever-present love. struggled—tightlyer did Chloe stand firm in her thought that unbelieving eyes would snatch them away; she struggled to faint her face against the invisible gaze. It put shivers through her entire body; however, she tried to keep their positive glances ahead of her. Regarding last, they found a full-light refuge treasured in the street shadows. Liam stopped, his hand tightly holding Chloe, as if to say it with his eyes. He just wanted one more second. He trickled, "A few days' rest will do very well now." His voice was soft but firm. I can offer you loving care and emotional support as you ride out the storm. Sanctuary beamed upon Chloe, quieting her mind from the disturbance outside them. She nodded vigorously, knowing that Liam's proximity assured her she was not going to do anything wrong as the darkness encircled them. Having been on the road for a few days, Chloe could not stop thinking about it as they walked through the city roads, almost. Which were those people who made Liam and Brittany feel at odds with the nightclub in the first place? And why had they appeared to be so keen on catching Liam? But amidst the chaos and uncertainty, one thing remained clear: Of course, Liam wasn’t just the random unfortunate ‘victim’ of my deranged game. He played the role of a knight in shining armor on a white horse, saving her from the most fearful and worrisome moments of her life. Clinging to Liam's shoulder, she realized that in that moment, an inner peace consumed her and instilled in her the sense that even when the unknown awaits, she will be ready to meet any challenge head-on with him by her side. Then they were gone into the night, guided by the beating of their hearts. Choleew said that even though their journey had begun, it wasn't to be thwasn't goingy from now on.
