Chapter 131: The Ancient City.
As the sun set, Chloe and Liam neared the outskirts of the ancient city. The ruins whipped around them like a testament to an old, great civilization. Significantly tall buildings falling apart stood against the twilight sky, their surfaces covered with vines and moss. The air was heavy with history; every stone seemed to whisper tales of the past.
"Finally, we have arrived," Chloe said appreciatively in her voice. "This city is the key to our next clue."
"We need to tread carefully. Who knows, the clues could be hidden anywhere." Liam nodded, his eyes already scanning the area around them.
They walked into the city's heart, their footfalls echoing within the empty streets. There was grand architecture in those buildings, with tall columns and intricate carvings. Although in decay, the city's former glory could still be seen.
