CHAPTER FIFTEEN – A TERRIBLE ASSAULT

Karina's heart pounded as Matthew's hands roamed more urgently over her body. This was moving too fast, too far. "Matthew, stop!" she gasped, trying to wriggle out from under him. "I don't want to go that far." But he was too drunk, too lust-addled to listen. His fingers found the zipper of her jeans and tugged it down forcefully. "No, get off me!" Karina shoved at his chest, panic rising up to choke her. Matthew outweighed her by at least fifty pounds. He pinned her wrists over her head with one hand, using his weight to bear down on her. "Don't be like that, baby," he growled, alcohol thick on his breath. "We both know you want this." Karina thrashed against his iron grip, terror and revulsion crashing over her in waves. Summoning all her strength, she brought her knee up hard between his legs. Matthew howled in agony, crumpling off of her into the sand. Karina scrambled to her feet, chest heaving. She grabbed her shirt and clutched it to her bare torso, limbs shaking uncont
