CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO – FLIRTATIOUS SALLY

It started small at first - little things Karina couldn't quite put her finger on. Like the way Sally Hoult always seemed to linger a bit too long whenever she was around John at the office. Sally was an up-and-coming entrepreneur who had struck a mentorship deal with Hardy Enterprises. As an ambitious young woman set to take over her family's business someday, she wanted to learn from one of the most respected CEOs in the city. At first, Karina brushed it off as her own insecurities. Of course a pretty woman like Sally would be simply admiring John's success and leadership acumen. That's all it was...right? The first real red flag occurred after a meeting John had invited Karina to attend at Hardy Enterprises. She watched as Sally not-so-subtly flipped her sleek blonde hair and placed a manicured hand on John's arm as she laughed at something he said. When he didn't immediately pull away, a prickle of discomfort went through Karina. But still, she told herself not to read into it.
